Conferences are expensive, but living in Austin, I learned many offer a free badge to volunteers.

I have counted people at the door, handed out passes, laminated flyers, setup chairs, refilled drinks and any task needed.

I managed our appearance at conferences.

The first step was to oversee a booth redesign. I ordered multimedia elements to feature videos of our products and flooring to make us contract-compliant.

My most notable accomplishment was beating our competitors to the fidget spinner craze. We were the first to feature branded fidget spinners and that created a lot of foot traffic for our booth.

Other duties:

• Negotiating vendor contracts

• Ordering giveaways and handouts

• Arranging travel and accommodations

Energy Weldfab - Wellness Festival

As a family-oriented company, the leadership team wanted to dedicate a day to our employees' families.

To organize the event without a budget, I called vendors for sponsorships and work-friendly giveaways.

Although the event was low-budget, I heard for weeks from several team members how much they and their kids enjoyed the event.

Pollo Campero - PR Stunt

Why did the chicken cross the road? To get Pollo Campero!

For National Chicken Month, I put together a publicity stunt. I handled volunteer recruitment and found 10-15 identical and affordably-priced costumes.

To push our free chicken promotion, we had the volunteers parade around the block and cheer on passersby.
